About Us

Learn more about the history of Lake Hauto.
from 1894, when the original Hauto Dam was built on the Nesquehoning Creek for domestic and industrial water supply, to the construction of the 1912 PP&L Steam Power Plant, to the current residential development run by Lake Hauto Club.

Did you know? The county line runs through the lake with approximately 75% of the lake in Rush Township, Schuylkill County, and 25% in Nesquehoning Borough, Carbon County.
